Gregory M. York, Ph.D.

Associate

 

Greg York is an associate at Pearne & Gordon LLP.  He has experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and in preparing patentability, validity, and infringement opinions in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, and mechanical arts.

Prior to entering the legal field, Greg was a senior scientist in R&D at USB Corp., a manufacturer of reagents for life science research. Greg was also a DOE-Energy Biosciences Fellow of the Life Sciences Research Foundation and earned a Ph.D. in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At M.I.T., Greg conducted research on bacterial production of biodegradable plastics and on symbiotic nitrogen fixation.

Greg is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Chemical Society.
