Tomoko Ishihara

Patent Agent & Technical Translator

 

Tomoko Ishihara is a Patent Agent at Pearne & Gordon LLP.  She has experience in patent application preparation and prosecution.

Prior to becoming a patent agent, Tomoko worked at Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.  While at Mitsui Chemicals, she worked as a Biomedical Research Engineer in the Bioengineering Section and as a Research Coordinator in the Research Coordination Office.  She is a named inventor on two Japanese patent applications for Mitsui Chemicals. While attending Toho University, she worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Embryology.  She also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences.

 In addition to her native Japanese, Tomoko speaks fluent English.  She worked at The Enrichment Centers as a Japanese Language Specialist, and currently works as a technical translator at Pearne & Gordon.

Tomoko is currently a student at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law and expects to graduate in May of 2010.

Tomoko is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
